This is going to be a special one! Blues Week is celebrating its 20th year with an amazing line-up! I am privileged to be teaching my beginners guitar class again. If you'd like to learn traditional country blues guitar, harmonica and/or vocals with a bunch of lovely people then sign up here: www.euroblues.co.uk
I've been deeply moved by this beautiful and courageous new anthology. The title comes from the shocking statistic of how many men in the UK take their own lives every week. It's a wonderful and important project curated by Helen Calcutt and I feel honoured to have one of my poems included.
the Music Minds CD has been released and is now venturing out into the universe!! You can catch one here: www.music-minds.com or if you'd prefer the experience of purchasing one in person it is available at HMV! (and has made it into their recommended section!) :
In just over a month we'll be at Hartpury College for Blues Week 2018!!!
Blues Week is "a chance to learn how to play the blues, sing the blues, and make new friends." This year, we have 4 great harmonica teachers and 7 guitar teachers. We are announcing the addition of Michel Lelong to our staff of guitar teachers. Michel, from Tours France, taught at Blues Week during the Exeter University years. He's a great fingerpicker and after a long absence, we welcome his return.
